The candidate will be a highly creative computational biologist/ data scientist with strong programming and data analysis background and an ambition to tackle high-impact complex computational biology problems involving large-scale biological and pharmacological datasets. This individual will assit in work on our Cloning Platform, notably to automate plasmid generation and enhance our ability to map degrons and neosurfaces, increasing both the speed and quality of our outputs. As well as collaborations on out Proteomics engine, to employ robotics for higher throughput in TurboID and Targeted Mass Spectrometry workflows. As well as work on improving our data logistics—ensuring efficient data processing, integration, and quality control across several critical assays and protocols.The successful candidate will work closely with a world-class team of scientists to develop the next generation of protein degraders in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment. In this position, you will have the opportunity to push the boundaries of science and help to accelerate the discovery of new therapeutics for cancer and beyond.


  • Develop and automate the Cloning Platform to enhance the mapping of degrons and neosurfaces, ensuring the processes are faster and more reliable compared to existing systems.
  • Fully automate plasmid generation to support screening and discovery activities, utilizing cutting-edge technology and methodologies.
  • Implement a cost-effective and rapid workflow for scanning mutagenesis, aimed at the interrogation of neosurfaces.
  • Automate and increase throughput in proteomics workflows using robotics for TurboID and targeted mass spectrometry (CDK2 and NEK7).
  • Enhance data logistics concerning DMPK assay data processing, ingestion, and quality control, including the integration and harmonization of data across various platforms.
  • Develop and maintain quality control protocols for CDD and establish a data analysis and validation pipeline for the Solvent Shift Assay.


  • Proficiency in developing Python scripts for robotic systems, specifically the Opentrons OT-2 robot.
  • Experience in building and managing data analysis, management, and visualization pipelines using Python.
  • Knowledge of integrating various genomic data types, with a specific focus on refining biomarkers (e.g., HER2 in breast cancer).
  • Understanding of the clinical applications of biomarkers and ability to transfer knowledge to new biomarkers.
  • Familiarity with protein binding residue predictions and optimization of related pipelines.
  • Ability to conduct degradation and enrichment experiments and prepare samples for proteomic analysis.
  • Proficient in analyzing proteomic data using tools like Proteome Discoverer and Spotfire.
  • MS in data sciences, computational biology, bioinformatics and 2-4 years exp supporting drug discovery efforts with in a commercial environment.
